What is a data processing agreement?

A data processing agreement is a legal contract between a data controller and a data processor that outlines the terms and conditions under which the processor will handle personal data on behalf of the controller, ensuring compliance with data protection laws.

Socrative acts as a data processor by processing data on behalf of schools and districts, who are data controllers. Below we have provided a selection of data processing agreements for our customers to utilize.

DPA for US Customers

For users in the US, we have provided a National Data Privacy Agreement to meet standard obligations nationwide. It aims to address prevalent student data privacy issues and streamline the contracting processes for Socrative in schools and districts.
