When creating/editing quizzes, there are a couple of extra options you have for each question.

For example, let's take a look at editing a multiple choice question (the options are similar for True/False and Short Answer questions):

Question

Enter in the question that you like. Questions can have up to 65,000 characters.

Image

You can add an image using the image button. If you already have an image, you'll be able to remove it using the X icon. Images can also be added to answers and explanations using the same + next to them.

Left: Add image icon. Right: Removing an image using the X icon.

Link

You can add an embeddable link either in your question or answer

This will allow you to add links to external media content such as audio, videos, reference material, and more!

Answer Choices

Add as many answer choices as you need. You can use the Add Answer button if you need more. Answers can have up to 10,000 characters. The X button on the right side is available if you'd like to remove an answer.

You can choose the correct answer by checking the circle on the left side of the answer choice. You can have as many correct responses as needed. For students to get the question correct, they need to select all the correct responses.

Explanation

Your explanation will appear at the bottom of the Instant Feedback dialog after a student answers the question, regardless if they got it right or wrong. If the quiz is being delivered in Open Navigation mode—or if you have Show Question Feedback disabled—students will not see the explanation.

Once you're satisfied with the question, use the check mark icon to save it. You can use the trash icon to delete the question if you change your mind about it. Deleting the question is a permanent action and cannot be undone.

When typing in any of the text fields, you'll see a couple of formatting options:

You'll be able to bold, italicize, or underline text. Superscripts and subscripts are also available. You also have the ability to enter in a math equation. Learn more in this link.

Once you've filled in the fields you need, here's an example of what a completed question looks like:

Make sure to click on the checkmark icon to save it! The questions can always be edited; look for the pencil icon on the right side. You can also move the question around using the arrow icons or make a copy of the question using the + icon. You can also delete the question using the trash icon if you change your mind.

And that's it; you're on to creating a full quiz! You can switch things up by adding in True/False questions and Short Answer questions. The formatting options are similar for each question type.
