Offer Terms and Conditions — Socrative Back To School 2026

These terms apply to the Socrative Back To School promotional offer running from 1 September 2026 to 1 October 2026. They sit alongside, and do not replace, the Socrative Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1.1 Purchases made with code BTS26 receive 25% off the first 12 months of a Socrative Essentials or Socrative Pro annual subscription.

1.2 The offer cannot be applied to Socrative Organization plans.

1.3 Upgrades from Essentials to Pro are eligible. On upgrade you are charged only the prorated difference between your current plan and the discounted Pro price for the time remaining in your current term — any amount already paid for Essentials is credited against the upgrade — and the discount also applies to your first full renewal following the upgrade, where that renewal falls within 12 months of redeeming the code. Renewals after that are at the then-current standard price.

1.4 New subscriptions purchased under the offer renew at the standard list price in effect at the time of renewal.

1.5 The offer applies to annual and monthly subscriptions.

1.6 The offer is limited to a maximum of 10 seats per customer. The discount applies per seat; multi-seat tier pricing shown at checkout may adjust the per-seat base price before the discount is applied.

1.7 The code must be entered at the time of purchase or upgrade. It cannot be applied retroactively to a completed transaction.

1.8 Your subscription renews automatically. You can cancel or change your plan at any time from your account billing settings.

1.9 The offer may be used once per customer account and cannot be combined with any other promotion, coupon, credit, or discount, or with an existing discounted or negotiated rate.

2.1 The offer is available to individual educators and to schools purchasing up to 10 seats. Schools purchasing at scale may be better served by an organization plan — contact us before purchasing six or more seats.

2.2 The offer is not available for self-serve purchase on subscriptions covered by a school, district, or institutional license agreement. If you are covered by such an agreement, contact your Socrative representative — see §3.

2.3 The offer cannot be applied to the renewal of an existing subscription on the same plan tier. Renewing your current Essentials plan as Essentials, or your current Pro plan as Pro, is not an eligible transaction. (An upgrade from Essentials to Pro is eligible — see §1.3.)

2.4 The offer's upgrade terms cannot be obtained by canceling a subscription and re-purchasing as a new customer.

3.1 Where the Back To School discount is extended to a school, district, or other institutional customer under an existing agreement, it applies only to net-new seats added during the offer period.

3.2 The discount does not apply to: the renewal of seats already licensed under the agreement; the true-up, reconciliation, or re-counting of existing seats; the migration or consolidation of existing individual subscriptions into an institutional agreement; or any seat for which Socrative is already receiving payment under any plan.

3.3 Seats added under this offer renew at the standard contracted rate at the next renewal of the agreement unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4.1 All prices are in US dollars unless a different currency is displayed at checkout. Payment is processed by our payment provider, Stripe.

4.2 Prices shown are exclusive of applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST, calculated and displayed at checkout based on your billing location. The discount applies to the subscription price before tax.

4.3 If you cancel a discounted subscription during its term, our standard refund policy applies. Any refund is calculated on the amount actually paid, not the undiscounted list price.

4.4 If you downgrade or cancel a subscription upgraded under §1.3, the discounted renewal no longer applies. Re-subscribing later is at the standard price then in effect.

4.5 Where a discounted subscription is canceled and refunded in full, the code is treated as unused and may be applied again, subject to §1.9.

5.1 The offer runs from 1 September 2026 and ends at 23:59 UTC on 1 October 2026.

5.2 Offer codes have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash or credit, and cannot be sold, transferred, or assigned.

5.3 We may modify, suspend, or withdraw the offer at any time. Any change will not affect a subscription already purchased under it.

5.4 We may cancel a discount and charge the standard price where a code has been obtained or used in a way that breaches these terms, including through duplicate accounts created to reuse the offer, or purchases exceeding the seat limit in §1.6.

5.5 Where these terms conflict with the Socrative Terms of Service, these terms govern for the transactions they cover; the Terms of Service govern everything else.
