The Essentials & Pro versions of Socrative allow you to create additional rooms. In each room, you can launch a single quiz so that you can have multiple quizzes running at the same time in different rooms. Just make sure you share the correct room name with your students!

Adding a Room

There are two ways to create a room in Socrative. The first way is to click the drop down menu beside your current room name in the header:

Then, select 'Add Room' from the drop down menu and enter a room name (Keep in mind, room names must be unique across Socrative and can be a combination of letters and/or numbers.)

The second way to create a room in Socrative, is to navigate to the 'Rooms' option in the top header. Once there, you will be able to view your existing rooms as well as add additionals by clicking the 'Add Room' option in the top right.

Once you enter a fully unique room name, you'll have made a new room. If you'd like to add a roster, see this article to help with creating a roster manually or import a roster. Note that If the name is not unique, you'll get an error message indicating it is not available and you will need to enter a different name.

Room Limit

With the Essentials plan you can have a maximum of 5 rooms (4 additional rooms and 1 default room. With the Pro plan, you can have a maximum of 30 rooms (29 additional rooms and 1 default room). If you try to create more than your plan allows, you'll see the error message below:
