Assessment Libraries make it even easier for you to share, edit and collaborate on quizzes with your colleagues. Whether you are working alongside a co-teacher, collaborating with a group of colleagues teaching the same subject, or mentoring new educators in your learning community, Assessment Libraries let your team access, co-create, and share the material you need to engage your learners more deeply - all within Socrative.

Create an Assessment Library
Select Library from the top menu.
Select + Join or Create Library from the left-hand menu.
Select Create Library.
Enter a name for your library.
Select Create Library.
Your new library will appear under Shared in the left-hand menu. As the creator, you become the library Owner. Owners can add quizzes, invite members, manage roles, and update library settings.
Add Quizzes to your Library
Once your Assessment Library has been created, bring it to life with the content you want to share and edit with your teaching team.
Open the Assessment Library and select Add Quiz. You can then:

Add Members to your Assessment Library
Once you have created your Assessment Library, you can invite others to join your library to access shared quizzes and collaborate on content together.To invite colleagues:
Open the Assessment Library.
Select Invite.
Choose whether members should join as a Viewer or Editor.
Copy the invitation link or library join code.
Share it with your colleagues.
Anyone using the invitation must sign in to their Socrative account before joining the library.
Manage the Invite Link
Owners and Admins can always disable or reset an invitation link from the library invitation settings. Resetting the link prevents the previous link from being used.
Join an Assessment Library
You can join an Assessment Library using an invitation link or library join code.
Open the link shared with you, or enter the join code in Socrative.
Sign in to your Socrative account if prompted.
Select Join Library.
*If you are not signed in to Socrative, you will be prompted to sign in to your account first.
Roles/Access Levels
Once your colleagues have joined, you can view them within the 'Members' tab in your Assessment Library. Here, you can manage/change the access level for each Member of your library.
Role | Permissions |
Owner | Create, edit, organize and delete assessments, manage all members and settings, transfer ownership, rename or delete the library. |
Admin | Create, edit, organize and delete assessments, invite and manage members, change member roles, and update library settings. |
Editor | Create, edit, organize and delete assessments. Can invite members if permitted. Can view library settings. |
Viewer | View and launch assessments. Cannot edit library content. Can invite Viewers if permitted. |
Changing Access Levels
Once your colleagues have joined, you can view them within the 'Members' tab in your Assessment Library. Here, you can manage the access level for each Member of your library by selecting the dropdown menu underneath 'Access Level'
Open the Assessment Library.
Select the Members tab.
Find the member whose role you want to update.
Open the Access Level menu.
Select the new role.
💡 Assessment Libraries can have multiple Admins, allowing several people to manage content, members and settings. This helps distribute ownership and ensures library management doesn't rely on a single person.
Removing a Member
Removing a member immediately removes their access to the library's quizzes and folders. They will also lose access to reports associated with assessments launched from that library where applicable.
To Remove a Member:
Open the Members tab.
Find the member you want to remove.
Open their member options.
Select Remove Member.
Confirm the removal.
Admins can remove both other Admins and non-Admin members, while Owners can manage all members.
Assessment Library Limits
Each Assessment Library can have:
one Owner
up to 150 Editors, including the Owner
up to 1,000 Viewers
Each account can have access to up to 20 Assessment Libraries.
Member Permissions
If the library member is a Pro Socrative Subscriber:

Collaborating in your Assessment Library
Editing quizzes in Assessment Library is simple. Create a new quiz following the instructions above or select an existing quiz added to your Assessment library that you want to edit. While editing, the quiz will be locked to prevent multiple simultaneous edits from overwriting your progress.
You can edit your questions and answers, add new question types or reorder content, adjust question weights, and modify images and explanations. When you are done editing, simply select 'Save and Exit.'
When quizzes are complete, you can select the '...' beside the quiz to move it between folders or copy it to your personal library.
Assessment Library Settings
As a Library Owner, the following options are available to be toggled on or off:

Member Invites | Choose whether Everyone or Admins only can invite new members. |
Download Quiz & Answer key | Allow or prevent members from downloading or printing assessment content and Answer key. |
Copy to Personal Library | Allow or prevent members from copying assessments to their Personal Library. |
Copy to Another Library | Allow or prevent members from copying assessments into another shared library. |
Delete Library | Deleting the library will irreversibly delete all its quizzes and disband members. |
Official Library | Mark this library as your organization’s approved content, visible to teachers when browsing and launching. Editing is locked to keep content consistent across your organization. |
✍️When Read-only Mode is enabled, a banner appears within the library to let members know editing has been restricted. Read-only Mode does not change the assigned roles of members. Read-only quizzes can still be launched by teachers in their classes.
Rename or Delete Library
To rename your library:
Open the library.
Select Settings.
Enter the new library name.
Select Update.
The name will be modified for all members.
To delete your library:
Open the library.
Select Settings.
Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Select Delete Library.
Confirm the deletion.
🚨 Please note that this is a permanent, irreversible action and will delete the Library for everyone it is shared with.
Launch a Quiz created in an Assessment Library
You can launch a quiz in two ways.
From the Launch menu
Select Launch.
Choose the Assessment Library.
Select the quiz.
Choose your delivery method and settings.
Select Launch.
From the Library
Open the Assessment Library.
Open the More Options (⋯) menu beside the quiz, or right-click it.
Select Launch.
