What is Socrative?
Socrative is an online tool for teachers to give quizzes and on-the-fly assessments to students. With Socrative you can create your own quizzes, quizzes are automatically graded, and you can create reports to evaluate how everyone did.

With the Socrative Pro plan, up to 300 students can take a quiz in a room at once.

Yes! Depending on your plan, you can have the maximum number of students in each room at a time.
If you have the Pro plan with 30 rooms, you can have up to 300 students in each of those rooms taking a quiz at the same time!
If you have the Free or Essentials version of Socrative, you can have up to 50 students.

The amount of rooms you can have depends on your Socrative Plan.
Free: 1 default room
Essentials: 5 rooms (including 1 default room)

You can leave an activity running in a room for as long as you need. The activity will be closed to students when you click the Finish button in the Live Results section of your account.

You can have a maximum of 500 questions in a quiz.

Socrative questions can have 65,000 characters while answers can have 10,000 characters.

You can embed Audio or Video clips from YouTube and Vimeo directly into quiz questions in Socrative! To do so, simply copy and paste the video URL into the question editor to add more engaging content to your quizzes.

Yes, Socrative allows you to delete unnecessary reports as needed. Please note that you can only delete the reports created by you.

Yes, you can sort your quizzes either Alphabetically or by Date Modified.

Socrative accounts are intended for individual teachers. We strongly recommend that each teacher registers their own account. Once an account is created, teachers can then share quizzes with each other or even create a Shared Library to collaborate with!
What Happens to my Quizzes and Reports if I Cancel?
What Happens to my Quizzes and Reports if I Cancel?
Cancelling your subscription will return your account to the Free plan. This means your account will follow Free plan limits: 1 room, 5 quizzes, and a 30-day report history.
Any quizzes beyond the most recent 5, as well as reports older than 30 days, will be archived. These can be restored to your account at any time once you upgrade again.

Socrative works on laptops, Chromebooks, tablets, and smartphones through any modern web browser or the Socrative Student app.

To view pricing, please sign into your account and navigate beside your profile on the 'Choose Your Plan' page. This is accessible by selecting the 'Get Pro' option if you're new to upgrading or the 'View Plans' option if you want to upgrade or modify your existing Pro account.

New users who have not yet purchased Socrative can start a one-time, 21-day trial of either the Essentials or PRO subscription.
If the trial is not cancelled before the end date, the subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and the credit card on file will be charged when the trial ends.
To access this 21 day trial, click the GET PRO button at the top of your Socrative account and select your free trial of choice.

The exchange rate for foreign currencies varies daily and is determined at the time of purchase. Please note if a refund is requested for a payment made in foreign currency, it could be impacted by the current exchange rate.

Your subscription will auto-renew by default. If you'd like to disable auto-renew, you will need to cancel your subscription and re-subscribe on the date of expiry.
